Early Childhood II

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Early Childhood I or two semesters of Child Development, including one semester of a preschool lab.

Description: This course continues the learning begun in Early Childhood I. The emphasis is on working with infants and toddlers, children with special needs, and elementary school children. Students are provided an opportunity to work in internship programs at child care centers and elementary schools throughout the community. Employability skills such as communicating and working with others are covered. Students will continue working on their professional portfolios.
